Dr. Rothbart earned his B.S. in food science and human nutrition from the University of Florida in 2005. He performed his dissertation work with Dr. Rick Moran, earning a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. He was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Brian Strahl in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Rothbart joined VARI in April 2015 as an assistant professor.
