Vincent Sartori

Ph.D. Student, VAI Graduate School

Biography

Mentor: Scott Rothbart, Ph.D.

Research Focus: Research focus to be determined.

Experience: Vincent Sartori earned his bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from Grand Valley State University. During his time at GVSU, Vincent joined Dr. Tim Triche’s lab as an undergraduate intern and continued working as a research technician after graduation. Using both bench and bioinformatic approaches, Vincent worked to understand how a rare pediatric leukemia driven by the fusion protein FUS::ERG was sensitive to the chemical inhibition of the epigenetic modifier EZH2. Now, as a graduate student, Vincent is interested in understanding histone posttranslational modifications, specifically the readers, writers and erasers of histone ubiquitination and their effects on cellular functions using molecular biology techniques.

Undergraduate Institution: Grand Valley State University
